Pit Fired Treasure Jar 2 (laurel)

Jar made on the lathe in stoneware and cooked using the pit fire technique, one of the oldest in ceramics. Each piece is unique : color variations and surface marks are the direct result of contact with fire and natural, reactive materials during firing. The pieces are then cleaned, waxed, and polished.

The marks and shades you see on this particular jar are not painted on, but the direct result of burning. bay leaves , which left unique traces on the ceramic during firing. Each piece is therefore a witness to fire and nature: unique, authentic, impossible to replicate.

With its lid and the essential detail of the leather knob, it becomes a perfect treasure chest to store small treasures or simply to add poetry to your everyday life.

Please note that objects fired in this way are not glazed and therefore cannot be used to contain food.
